Forensic Evidence DESTROYS Jan 6th Committee’s Key Testimony…

The Department of Justice has launched a criminal investigation into Cassidy Hutchinson, the January 6 Committee’s star witness, for allegedly lying to Congress under oath about key events that shaped the narrative against President Trump.

Investigation Targets Committee’s Key Witness

The DOJ’s Civil Rights Division opened a criminal investigation into Cassidy Hutchinson several weeks ago, focusing on her June 2022 testimony before the House January 6 Select Committee. Former Attorney General Pam Bondi reportedly initiated the probe, which examines whether Hutchinson committed perjury when she testified under oath about writing a handwritten note and recounted unverified claims about President Trump’s actions. The investigation represents an unusual deployment of the Civil Rights Division, which typically handles systemic civil rights abuses rather than individual perjury cases.

Forensic Evidence Contradicts Sworn Testimony

In October 2024, the Republican-led House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight released expert handwriting analysis that definitively contradicted Hutchinson’s sworn claims. A certified questioned document examiner conclusively determined that Eric Herschmann, a Trump attorney, wrote the January 6 note that Hutchinson claimed she authored at Mark Meadows’ direction. This forensic evidence directly refutes statements Hutchinson made in her February 2022 transcribed interview, her dramatic June 2022 public testimony, and even claims in her book “Enough.” Herschmann immediately disputed her authorship claim when she first testified, yet the Select Committee promoted her version without contacting him for verification.

Pattern of Uncorroborated Claims Exposed

Hutchinson’s testimony included multiple claims that were quickly refuted by eyewitnesses but nevertheless amplified by the January 6 Committee. Her dramatic account of Trump lunging at a Secret Service agent in the presidential vehicle was contradicted by four White House employees and Secret Service personnel who were actually present. Chairman Barry Loudermilk stated the new evidence “contradicts Ms. Hutchinson’s numerous claims” and “exposes the Select Committee’s willingness to accept all her testimonies without corroboration.” The committee’s so-called “meticulously sourced” final report relied heavily on her uncorroborated statements while deliberately excluding contradicting accounts from key witnesses.

Broader Implications for Government Accountability

This investigation raises fundamental questions about how congressional committees operate and whether political objectives override factual accuracy. The Select Committee positioned Hutchinson as a credible whistleblower and built substantial portions of its narrative on her testimony, despite immediate refutations from multiple sources. Republican lawmakers issued a criminal referral based on mounting evidence of fabrication, yet the committee proceeded without proper verification. For Americans across the political spectrum who believe government institutions prioritize political agendas over truth, this case exemplifies concerns about elite manipulation of investigations to serve predetermined conclusions rather than discovering facts.

The probe’s outcome could have significant ramifications for January 6-related cases and congressional investigative practices. If Hutchinson faces charges, it would vindicate long-standing criticisms that the Select Committee operated as a partisan vehicle rather than an objective fact-finding body. January 6 defendants may cite this investigation in appeals, arguing that tainted testimony influenced proceedings against them. More broadly, this development underscores growing public frustration with powerful Washington insiders who appear insulated from accountability when their actions serve establishment interests, while ordinary citizens face the full weight of federal prosecution for far lesser offenses.

  1. This lunatic will not be brought up on any charges, you wanna bet. None of the members on this panel faced any repercussions whatsoever for all of their lying. Plus the police department in DC nor the FBI that were involved (there were many) were ever held accountable.

  2. I am so tired of hearing how many lies there were for January 6th and not one person has faced consequences for them lying. Why even spend our hard-earned tax money that we are constantly paying for these investigations that do nothing except expose this corruption. If she lied under oath, prosecute her and put her in jail, just like all of you would do to the US Citizen if we lied under oath. That January 6 committee should be required to pay back what it cost for their supposed investigation with their own money. The Citizens are getting really sick of all the corruption in government.
