Trump Urges Armed Iranian UPRISING—Warns Thousands Could Die…

President Donald Trump has called on the Iranian people to overthrow their government with military force, pledging American backing while acknowledging the deadly cost of such an armed revolution.

President Issues Direct Appeal to Iranian Citizens

Speaking on The Hugh Hewitt Show, Trump addressed Iranian citizens directly, declaring that America stands ready to support regime change from within. The president stated that once American military operations conclude, the Iranian people should seize control of their government. Trump emphasized that the current regime has been severely weakened both militarily and economically, creating what he described as an unprecedented opportunity for internal revolution. He promised overwhelming American strength would back any popular uprising against the current leadership.

Concerns Over Civilian Casualties Mount

Trump admitted feeling torn about encouraging armed resistance due to massive projected casualties. He referenced reports that 42,000 Iranians died in the first two weeks of recent unrest, expressing reluctance to see such bloodshed repeated. The president argued that successful revolution requires proper armament, noting that unarmed protesters cannot prevail against government forces equipped with automatic weapons. He illustrated this point by stating that five armed individuals could defeat 250,000 unarmed people if weapons are deployed quickly enough.

The president highlighted the regime’s brutal tactics by referencing Navid Afkari, a champion wrestler executed by hanging from a crane in a public square in 2020 after participating in anti-government demonstrations. Trump used this example to characterize the Iranian government as exceptionally ruthless, warning that overthrowing such leadership would require significant sacrifice and military capability among the civilian population.

Regime Vulnerability Assessment

Trump assessed the Iranian government as increasingly vulnerable, citing intelligence suggesting that military forces are demoralized and unpaid following American military and economic pressure. He claimed that many Iranian fighters no longer wish to continue serving the regime after what he described as obliteration of their military and financial infrastructure. The president concluded by asserting that America holds all strategic advantages in the ongoing confrontation, though he acknowledged uncertainty about how events will ultimately unfold. His comments suggest the administration views internal Iranian collapse as a realistic possibility if opposition forces gain sufficient weaponry.
