Texas DOJ Worker Accused of Extreme Crime Involving Pregnancy Incident

DOJ employee Justin Banta faces capital murder charges in Texas after allegedly slipping abortion pills into his pregnant girlfriend’s drink, killing their unborn child. The shocking case has drawn national attention as investigators uncovered surveillance footage of Banta tampering with the victim’s beverage at a coffee shop just days before she suffered a devastating miscarriage.

Biden DOJ Worker Charged in Abortion Pill Murder Case

Justin Banta, a 38-year-old Department of Justice employee, has been charged with capital murder after allegedly administering abortion-inducing drugs to his pregnant girlfriend without her knowledge. The heinous act resulted in the death of their unborn child, who had been confirmed healthy by doctors just days before the incident.

Surveillance footage from a coffee shop captured Banta pouring an unknown substance into the victim’s drink and stirring it before giving it to her, along with cookies that were later found to contain abortion drugs mifepristone and misoprostol. The woman, who was approximately six weeks pregnant, had explicitly expressed her desire to keep the baby during their meeting, making the alleged crime all the more disturbing.

Evidence Tampering Compounds Serious Charges

Authorities have also charged Banta with tampering with physical evidence after he allegedly attempted to remotely erase information from his phone after it was confiscated by police. Investigators discovered that Banta had informed his wife about the pregnancy and expressed his desire for the girlfriend to have an abortion, even going so far as to order abortion-inducing drugs online.

The victim experienced extreme fatigue and heavy bleeding the day after consuming the tampered drink, ultimately suffering a miscarriage on October 19. Medical records confirmed the loss of the baby, which the victim believes was directly caused by the drugs Banta allegedly administered without her knowledge or consent.

Multiple Agencies Investigating as DOJ Remains Silent

The case has drawn the attention of multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Parker County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Rangers, and the FBI. Banta was arrested on June 6 following a months-long investigation and booked into Parker County Jail, though reports indicate he was released on bond the same day.

“These charges that have been alleged by the investigative agencies and the officers are purely fictional at this point,” claimed Banta’s attorney, Michael Heiskell.

The Department of Justice has yet to comment on the serious allegations against their employee. Texas maintains some of the strictest abortion laws in the nation, banning most procedures except in dire medical circumstances, with laws enacted in 2021 and 2022 imposing both civil and criminal penalties for performing abortions.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victim “learned the baby had a strong heartbeat, displayed good vital signs, and was said to be healthy by her doctor” just before the incident occurred. The case remains active and ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence in what appears to be a deliberate act to terminate a pregnancy against the mother’s wishes.
